Statement from the Management of Prentice Group
The global spread of COVID-19 is now affecting every part of society, it is unprecedented in its spread and will affect each of us in differing ways. At Prentice, we are people first, and I am incredibly grateful of our amazing employees who have continued to serve the community in these difficult times.
Over the last 24 hours, it has become clear that maintaining safe social distancing is increasingly difficult. Studies have shown that the most effective way to minimise risk of the virus’s transmission is to reduce density and maximise social distance. As rates of new infections continue to grow, we’re taking additional steps to protect our team members and customers, Therefore, as of Tuesday 24th March our showrooms will be closed.
This decision was not taken lightly as we realise our business plays an important role in the local and wider community. But the global effort, to protect the most vulnerable, requires all of our care, and all of our participation.
I would personally like to thank every single one of our employees who have shown great character and resilience in these times of uncertainty. As the situation evolved, they took every step to keep our customers safe.
